Like I mentioned the last time you wrote this thread, acccording to wikipedia.org

They [barbs] have addiction potential, both physical and psychological. Barbiturates have now largely been replaced by benzodiazepines mainly because benzodiazepines are significantly less dangerous in overdose. Barbiturates are derivatives of barbituric acid.
Barbituates, from my understanding, are just an outdated form of therapy. You're better off with the Benzos.

I was on Klonopin in 2007, and I would mix them with alcohol, or take much mroe than the prescribed amount. I basically tricked my doctor into prescribing them to me, my intentions were to get high. I never felt any withdrawal symptoms though once they took me off them (they found out i was abusing them -- I told them).
A few months ago, I was on Ativan, same thing, I wanted to get high, I used them as prescribed for about a week, then gave in started taking more than the recommended dose and was mixing it with alcohol. Too many benzos mixed with alcohol put me in a terrible drunken state. I was actually taken to the hospital by a friend. I couldn't walk, and i fell on my head three times. It can be a fatal combo according to some websites.

Well the point Im trying to make is that when I stopped the Ativan, I still didn't have withdrawal symptoms.

I was a little anxious, but that was from the DXM use and alcohol shakes becasuse i was still using. both alcohol and DXM make me shake coming off them.

Now I'm on Valium, been on it for over a month. 5mg twice a day, and have yet to take more than prescribe or drink while on it. In fact, I've been clean 38 days. When I do get off the valium, I don't expect any withdrawal symtpomns because of my history with Benzos.

I don't know, im a big fan of Benzos now that I take them properly. They stop my shakes, and I can walk in crowds and get on the trains.

But unless you experience panic attacks, maybe it' safer not to get on Benzos. Maybe you just need the proper form of meditation. Excercise for me, lifts my mood, but it doesn't help with aanxiety. but hey, if it worked for someone else, maybe u can try that.
