Suboxone withdrawal

Hi all,

I just wanted to share my experience with Suboxone. I had no idea it existed and a few years ago was up to eating 900 mg or so of hydrocodone a day (not a typo). I ended up in jail for a while and had a not as bad relapse after i got out. I then heard about Suboxone and it has done wonders for me.... totally changed my life and enabled me to function somewhat normally. Duh to financial struggles, I recently decided maybe I should quit taking suboxone. I "jumped off" from about 8mg a day. BAD idea, apparently... seems that I should have tapered down a bit more . So today, after 36 hours of no suboxone, I gave in and went and got a refill on them.

I guess my point is to find out as much about it as you can.... and decide what is best for you. I don't see the point or the benefit in a long horrible withdrawal... so tapering down seems the best way to go.

Unless they make some wonderful pill that treats the dependence on the drug that treated the dependence you had on drugs.

LOL

Oh, by the way - for anyone that is wondering. Withdrawals from taking just 6-8mg of suboxone a day SUCKS big fat hairy toes. Thanks
