That's what it says under the forum description, and if you understand the concerns of copyright infringement and trademark protections, you'll know that "most" sites aren't NA or AA approved, but still are oriented for specific programs and their members. Where it says, "12 step based..." it's referring to the 12 steps
of Narcotics Anonymous.

thwartnot, if you were to go to the Alcoholics forum, you'd find that the focus of that forum is the AA program and Alcoholics Anonymous.
In this forum,
we are addicts, yet our DOC is irrelevant. We suffer from the disease of addiction and terms like "cross addicted" imply that there is more than one disease.
