Trust me, you're not going crazy. I'm a former tobacco chewer so I have dreams of a different sort, and when we're dealing with our addictions I think of them as nightmares, not dreams.
My dreams always involve my teeth falling out, usually by the handful, I open my mouth and they're literally falling out of my head and I catch them in my hand. Gross. My gums are black and rotted. When I wake up I usually clamp my hand over my mouth, and give a big sigh of relief when I realize that it wasn't real.
The good news is that the longer I'm tobacco free, the less I have those dreams. Even with drinking dreams I used to have them once a month, not it's every few months. So, I hope your dreams are more restful as the years pass.
