Forgive me if someone already started a group and I missed it. I kind of skimmed over the groups, and I do miss things now and again.
I just bought a bridge camera a few weeks ago, a Panasonic Lumix FZ28.
I was thinking about getting a DSLR, but didn't have the cash or experience to handle one. I figured that I could afford to learn on the FZ28 before stepping up to a DSLR.
I'm nothing but the rankest of beginners. I do have a background in art, however, so I am excited to learn something new. I didn't have the money or the time to do photography in school (printmaking took up all my efforts), but I have a lot of time now.
I also have a Canon T70 which was given to me by a family member. I would like to learn how to use the FZ28 in manual so I can better use the Canon.
Basically, I'm clueless.
I bought a book yesterday, The Basic Book of Photography. It was the only one in the store that looked halfway decent.
I hope there are some people interested in contributing. I know I'm not a pro, but I'm willing to learn from those in the know.
