Yes, this disease is serious and deadly. Interesting how drinking used to be "fun". I'm sorry to hear you lost a friend.
My Dad is an active alcoholic. Most of the time he seems perfectly OK, but the insanity is ever-present. I have to laugh nervously at his comments about mixing vodka with cranberry juice because the juice is good for his liver. Unreal.
As we say at meetings......Please observe a moment of silence for the alcoholic who is still suffering.
