I dont guess there is generally a time when the chronic pain "strikes back" in a demonic backlash for taking its opiates away??? That is one thing I am considering might take place and I don't want it to. WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE IF THAT HAPPENS?
It sounds to me like you are awfullizing. Sure, the pain could come back...what is the worst that happens if it does? Will the pain cause you to be struck down by lightening on the golf track and keel over right there? Of course not.

Assuming the pain comes back (and that's a large assumption right there), you can hurt really bad and call a doctor the next morning. You can try medicines that are available over the counter. You can try non-narcotic medicines. You CAN have someone hold your medication. You can be honest with your medical practitioner.

Now its not so scary after all, is it?
