Great link! The therapist who suggested AA to me will be getting a copy of this. I'm surprised to see someone question that such a group of experienced professionals might not know what they are talking about.
The article does not bash AA, but offers alternatives. Each one is fully explained, and sources are cited. I don't know what more one could ask for in a scientific article.
