I feel so alive in the summer. These winters here are too long and depressing. Although there is snow on the ground in shady areas and it's still frozen six inches down I declare summer is here. I've been walking around my yard all day trimming trees and thinking about all the neat stuff I can do with landscaping. I really enjoy being a homeowner. It's a lot of work sometimes but it's worth it.
I even shot my first squirrel of the year.
I have to keep the population down or they get into everything. My dog gets sooo wound up when I start shooting. She runs circles around the tree until the squirrel hits the ground then she proudly picks it up like its a trophy or something. She thinks she is quite the hunter.
