My DOC is opiates. But I can relate to addictive behavior, and the control your DOC has over your life. Yes, you are addicted! You might or might not be dependent; if you are, getting off can be a medical issue that requires help from a medical professional. For your addiction, you probably need help from a structured program. I stayed clean for a long time, but I don't think I could have done that without the intensive treatment I had; several 30 day detoxes, an 18 month live-in program, AA meetings.

You've admitted you have a problem, that's a great first step. Now for a plan of action. Don't you want your life back?
