I think I understand what you are saying. My home fellowship is CoDA (Codependents Anonymous) and many members have issues of codependency that don't involve any substance at all.
For me, I found that it didn't matter whether there was substance or not. My son is an addict but my codependency goes back way before he was ever in the picture. His addiction just triggered the worst in me and my codependency became raging and out of control. I have also attended Alanon meetings and really didn't find any difference in how the meetings were handled nor the codependency issues of the members.
My point is that sharing on any of the F & F forums here is perfectly fine, regardless if you have a relationship with anyone with a substance problem.
It hasn't been necessary to have a CoDA forum here, there are already so many forums dealing with issues of codependency and my thoughts are that you are welcome to post whatever you want on whatever forum you feel most comfortable on.
Hugs
