My last attack was while I was in rehab. I watched my diet for awhile, took enzymes for a couple of months after getting clean/sober, and I haven't had an attack since I was in rehab.
Your doctor would be the one to recommend a special diet and/or medication. There's a lot of information out there on the differences between chronic and acute pancreatitis. To drink with either kind is to risk death. It's nothing to mess around with. The pancreas is not like the liver. Once it suffers serious damage, it doesn't regenerate.
Do you consider yourself to be alcoholic?
