Wow. A hycodan thread. That's the med that got me started on this horrible road many years ago. Believe it or not, its commonly prescribed for dogs with cough conditions and I had a dog with one. She lived with it for years. Her doctor kept upping her dose (ok I lied and said her cough was getting worse; it wasnt) and I was taking the rest.
Pretty twisted, huh?
