Wow--I really had no idea it could get that bad with that. Are all ADHD meds like that? I know some have come out in the last few years that are supposed to be less abuseable (is that a word??). Ritalin I'm sure is still a pill of choice. I didn't know that hallucinations, etc could happen--thank god with opiates when we took a zillion times the recommended dosages we don't have psychotic features along with it! At least I didn't--then again maybe if they had been I would've quit sooner!! I've done x a few times, and if I did start hallucinating, I hated it! Same reason I never tripped--I hate not being in control. At least with opiates I was always in control of my mind, though my mind just told me to take more!
