When scientists attempt to measure an electrons velocity, they end up changing it's position. When they attempt to measure it's position, they end up changing it's velocity.
This is the foundation of "Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle". Which says that there are limits to human knowledge that even science can't overcome. Some things are simply unknowable and faith is all that we are left with.
When Einstein was asked if there was anything that was not relevant, his answer was:
"There are only two things of which I am certain. There is a God and I am not him."
