Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions; Bill Wilson wanted the fellowship to grasp the Tradition and they were vehemently against more rules, so he wrote short narratives on the Steps to get them to at least read the book. Be careful, the 12/12 is not the Basic Text of Recovery, which is the Big Book. Some would try to work a planned program of recovery from the 12/12 and it simply will not work. The 12/12 is a compliment only in regard to Step work, while in the Traditions it gives the basis for our fellowship in detail.
