No, I do not. But I do see a problem with you justifying it a little with the friend in AA having a large number of days and a long time affair.
Number of days does not equal recovery.
If you just want to not drink, you "may" be able to stay dry through this, but IMO you will not be recovering.
HOW is everything. And honestly, you do not sound very willing right now. I have to put my sobriety first.
Why an affair?
