I used to be a pretty good distance runner in my day. Not so much for the past four years, but a funny thing happened when I decided to quit drinking... I gradually started getting back into running, and two months later I ran a 10 mile race - and destroyed my old personal best
I'm just getting over a relapse now, but getting out to run early in the morning has been really comforting. So nice to be up and about early again, instead of passed out in bed.
