| I would suggest talking with your doctor regarding your concerns. He/she might decide to try a different medication. Remeron normally does not cause weight loss. You might consider bringing that med up to your doctor because of your weight loss concerns.
As far as night depression goes, I have not found it to be a problem for me. I have been on Prozac, Lexapro, Zoloft, Paxil, and am currently on Cymbalta. One thing I do notice though is that when my medications are right for my depression I dream at night. I know that when I stop dreaming at night it is an indicator for me that I need to watch for other signs that my body no longer is utilizing the medication right and speak to my doctor about a possible change in my meds. It is also one way I can tell when my lows are caused by the depression or the bipolar. I know the lows are the bipolar if I am still dreaming. This is just my experience though and I don't know if anyone else has had the same or similiar experiences.
Take care and please remember take the meds as prescribed because if they are not then you do not have a theraputic level in your system and you are not recieving the full benefit of the med.
