Yeah that was supposed to be two separate paragraphs and it got all run together.

1 - Some folks with some browsers have trouble using the "quick reply". It doesn't work for them. However, the "post reply" works for everybody.

2 - The "click here for more help" was supposed to be a link to a longer explanation, but the link is broken.

3 - In most recovery groups there are clear rules about anonymity and about not sharing what was said in the room, or in therapy. That doesn't work on the internet because the whole world can see what's written in Sober Recovery. That's why we tell people not to post their names, phone numbers, etc. as that would blow your anonymity.

That is also why tell people to be very careful about who they trust with their "nickname" or "sign-on". In real life you can invite a friend to a meeting, and if that friend shares your participation in the meet with other people, you may have lost your anonymity, but you still have your confidentiality cuz those other people will _not_ go to your meeting.

On the internet, once you share you "nickname" with a friend, and that friend shares it with other, then the whole world will know what you wrote and all your confidentiality is lost.

Am I making sense?

Mike
