I was young (pre-teen) when Soap was on - my Mom wouldn't let me watch it - I wish they would show re-runs too so I could see whatever one was talking about. Heard it was a funny show.
Strange how parents are - I couldn't watch Soap, but I could watch Laugh-In which was very cutting edge for it's time, I could read any "book" and we all know how racy those romantic novels can get.
