Thanks for the replies on this. I guess I need to accept it at some point. He was married before for 2 years, has been divorced for about 3. He said the reason was that they started living like roommates. Maybe he does just want to do what he wants when he wants.
It's hard for me to believe that he can never care about someone though . . . .
