I was flipping through a motorcycle magazine the other day when I came across an ad for Michelin's "Pilot 2" tires. Curious, I went to their web-site (pretty user-friendly, BTW) and found that they make a two-compound tire for bikes like my BMW, with a hard tread in the center and softer, stickier tread on the rolled edges. That's supposed to mean better mileage on straightaways, with good sport performance in hard curves.

I'm just afraid to ask what they cost!
