... because one of the cashiers there and I had been having this ongoing conversation about thyroid problems, and SHE was actually the first one who suggested I tell my doctor about the problems I'vd been having.
So now that I've begun this new treck ... diagnosis and blood count in hand... I thought I ought to tell this woman about it and thank her for bringing it up and all.
So I get there, and she comes out of the
'mysterious grocery store mirror room'
that every grocery store HAS ...
(what *is* that room all about, anyhow and why does every grocery store have to have one?)
and we start talking about thyroid stuff issues,
and... most importantly...weight gain and PAIN.
I"m saying ..
Within ten minutes -
there's a small gathering of maybe six or more women in the front of the grocery store, people who were just 'passing by' while she and I were talking, and-
every.
single.
one...
had thyroid problems.
Was on medication.
coping with joint pain.
Something.
SOooooo....
I had this thought.
I'm making up a poster to put in the GROCERY STORE
(of all places)
a MEETING of those with thyroid problems.
Sort of a support group thing ...
For discussion and exchange of ideas and
COMPLIMENTARY practices that they've found
that help them deal with pain and "energy issues."
I've named it -
"The Butterfly League"
And I think we should meet only once a month.
Done With It -
I'm gonna tell them about the "rice sox" thing.
How's that for turning something negative into a positive?
I was so excited about it - I had to get online earlier than at work and share it with y'all!
