Prayers to you and your family.

After the shock has worn off, I'd really recommend getting your niece into some type of counseling, or suicide survivors support. There is a lot of guilt involved when someone does this, even though it's not warranted. If she is anything like MY 14-year-old niece, she thinks the world revolves around her! It wouldn't be a long shot to think she may blame herself.
