Joe it may be get worse physically for another day or so, then it will leveel off for a while and then physically things will start to improve, this is when the really hard part kicks in..... staying stopped!!!!!

I spent 5 years going through the cycle of relapse, seeemed like the second I would get feeling good about myself was when I would decide that a drink or 2 were deserved, I mean after all I had just proved I was not an alcoholic so I deserved a few drinks!!! LOL Made perfect sense to me at the time!!

Well after 5 years of that I reached the point where I no longer mentally or physically could not go a day without drinking.

I wouldn up having to go into a detox just to stop drinking, from my prior track record I knew I had to do something to STAY sober. In detox they told me "If you want a chance to stay sober, go to at least 90 AA meetings in 90 days and get a sponsor."

Well I followed thier suggestion and I have been happily sober for over a year and a half, it took time and work but I got through the hard part by using the fellowship of AA and the steps of AA.

There are other programs, I would suggest going to AA or another program to stay sober.... staying sober is the hard part, quitting is easy.... even though it may not seem like it right this second! LOL
