Wow, great stuff,
I've recently been listining to some AA recordings and the speakers talk about how we (as alcoholics) have a tendency to judge ourselves on our intension's, when the world judges us on our actions.
Taking this a bit further, the speaker encourages us to examine our own actions as a way to discover what we really value.
For example, I would venture to guess that if one were to ask most folks that are trying to work the 12 steps, "How important is your relationship with God?", most would probably answer: "very important".
The next question is, "How much time do you devote to this relationship?".
One hour a week, in church? One hour a day in meditation?
This, of course, can be applied to all of our relationships. Those with Family, Friends, and yes, ourselves.
How much time do we devote to cultivating our our relationship with ourselves?
Wow, this is a really good question.
b-dad, you have outdone yourself.
You have asked a question that simply cannot be answered glibly, or quickly, or shallowly.
I'm thinkin I've got some serious thinkin to do.
