Welcome, Butterfly, to this forum. It is not uncommon to have more than one addiction problem. many of us that give up one discover another, especially eating. Now that you are not using your doc (drug of choice) your actions stll turn to something that will give you a temp. high.... or numbing feeling to deal with whatever it was that you didn't want to deal with in the first place.
It really is a good idea to have some sort of program to fall back on for support and to learn how to deal with "life on life's terms" without turning to any other substance, including food to get through it.
There are plenty of online programs as well as face to face meetings. check in the links at the top of this forum page and you will find links to Overeaters Anonymous and/or Rational Recovery and I believe there might be one more to look at also. You may be able to find some help there. Also we have a wonderful bunch of people here just willing to be of help and support.
