My understanding is, as the NA program states: “for the therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel.“ To me this means the God stuff can be replaced with therapeutic tools and recovery happens. At least this is how it is happening for me. I have friends in the AA/NA program that understand where I’m coming from and work with me on my terms.
