It has been quite the experience. I am now at day 3 post op and the Oral surgeon let me know that today may be the most painful. I think yesterday was more painful.
It was important to me to be completely knocked out there for I needed to be seen by an oral surgeon. It turned out that I was unable to be knocked out completely due to apnea. I would for get to breath and so they had to bring me back awake to the point I would respond when told to breath deep, but not so much as I was too aware of what was actually happening. I remember someone telling me to go to my happy place and I began to sing tho with much dificulty "Over The Rainbow" I sang it several times I am told and at one point asked them to remove their hand so I could sing. I settled on humming.
All in All...it was as close to a pleasant experiance as they could make it for me.
Thanks for all the replies and the support for this most stressful event.
