Hey Newsandi,

Yes, from what I understand the depakote is a mood stabilizer. My son is also taking 3, 500 mg at bedtime. Up from 2 a month ago. My belief that it's the depakote that's making him zombie like is from a psychiatric home health nurse that I'm working with in my position as primary caregiver for an elderly bi-polar/schizophrenic sil.
