Hi,

About the 'immediately becoming un-psychologically addicted' - yes, it happened to me, overnight; but it doesn't always last! Last time I quit, I though I'd cracked it BECAUSE the urge to drink had gone; when it returned, 3 months later, I had nothing to fight it with, because I had done absolutely nothing except not drink. This time, it's been 7 months and the urge hasn't returned. If it does, and I live in nervous anticipation of it, I hope I'm better prepared to see it off.

Your detox sounds similar to mine. Several sleepless nights, then it was over and I was sleeping like a baby and all sweats, tremors, headaches and so on were gone. But, as others say, it's always a good idea to get checked out.

I'm heading to Japan this Christmas, by the way. How do you say, 'No beer for me or I may run wild' in Japanese?

Best wishes,

Mick
