No one said that life was easy or a path that’s clean and clear.
No one said that with a smile, there didn’t come a tear.
Yesterday is over it’s time to carry on. Time to bury the sorrow, grow and to be strong.
Everyone has tried to express their love. Everyone has asked for help from up above.
Neither us or God can help you – it has to come from you. To really help yourself is what you need to do.
It doesn’t matter how much we love you or how much we pray. It all depends on if you’ll wake up today.
Look at what drugs and alcohol has taken….your very existence they have shaken.
But does it matter? For they want your soul, to completely take your life is their one and only goal.
To watch you slip further and further away….it brings me to tears each and every day.
The joy you bring to my child’s eyes, life without you would bring heavy sighs.
But I’m done preaching and I’m done crying.
Now it’s up to you to do the trying.
Be sure of one thing that will ALWAYS be, you have the love of your family.
