I agree with Carol. If you have a Big Book or can find it online, the chapter more about alcoholism helped me. There is a contrast in this chapter that describes the alcoholic vs. non-alcoholic.
What is interesting about your question and what I found, was that I had to determine on my own findings whether or not I felt I was alcoholic or not. This question is really not something that can be anwered by us. You have to answer your own question.
