Aw come on, it's just another "great" thing that you are. Hey, Mr. M has both a high school diploma and a GED! No, really. It's a long story; one that includes a real A**hole of a high school principal! He got his GED in the Marines not knowing he really did graduate; a**hole principal hated him so much that he withheld his diploma and told him he wasn't passing a class so he wouldn't graduate! This is a true story! He took his GED before he was sent over to Vietnam. When his service was completed in the Marines, he applied to an evening college but needed to get his high school transcript so he went to his high school and spoke to his principal, who told him he would have to go back to high school for a year to get a diploma - Mr. M nearly punched him, wondering how, after serving in the Marines and in Vietnam, he could be expected to attend a high school class???

It wasn't until Mr. M made a decision to attend a full-time University that he again went back to ask his old principal if there was any way he could get his diploma so he could use that to get into college. It was only then that he revealed that he had his diploma in his drawer all those years!!!! That's the absolute truth and with the original date of his graduating those years before. So he has a high school diploma with the actual graduation date that it should be and then a couple years later, he got a GED!! The story still leaves Mr. M speechless sometimes. Now, as for that principal, that's a vindictive person.

So glad that your son is doing so well. I pray that this changes his life forever!
