Lucid Dreaming&sleep paralisis
Interesting posts.
I was wondering if either of you two have read about lucid dreaming?
I know a book I read on it laid my fears to rest on sleep paralisis.
It was writen by a psychologist about his research into lucid dreaming (which is knowing in your dream that you're dreaming and having total control in your dream). Which seems very real.
I remember when I once suffered from sleep paralisis. It's when you are just waking and you are paralised and feel a great weight on you. You feel totaly helpless and if you don't know what's happening you may hallucinate. I know I saw a shadow on me.
Later I learned in this book and in my psychology class that this is a phnominon that happens to very few and usually only once in a persons lifetime.
The book also explains astral travel i.e. out of body experiences as lucid dreaming, which can be induced from the waking state.
He discovered in his research that one can't read something twice, thus he claims to disprove the astral plane.
I'm starting to meditate and am interested in your opinions.
peace.
