Welcome to this forum Scarlet. I am glad you stopped by our little home here. Thanks for sharing with us your path to recovery. I pray for your continued success. That is great that you have lost that weight. My mom is supposed to have that surgery sometime soon. (waiting on insurances and etc.) I am hoping that she has as much success as you have had. You are right in saying that if you are not careful and indeed realize that your ED is not cured by simple surgery. It takes a lifetime of changes and retraining our habits that we have learned. Also digging through and dealing with the emotional issues that surround our using food as a drug.
I am an emotional overeater as well. It's definately not easy .
