When I drank... I also ate... so by not drinking I cut out a bunch of calories and it helped me to achieve my weight loss goals... I have lost 10 lbs in 5 months...
That being said... I have huge cravings every night around 8:00... I would just grab a beer or a glass of vodka at that time but now I grab a glass of hot tea and a piece or 3 of dark chocholate... really dark... and take my time with it... it has helped...
When I first quit my nicoteen consumption (dip, chew, cigs... etc) went way up as did my caffein consumption...
When I gave up nicoteen the cravings have since cut back... and are less intense... oh I should say that the craving are for food not booze... I use to drink booze for everything...
I am working on caffein next... but all in due time...
recognize the urge... and resist it... water... water... water... is your friend... drink some water when you get the urge to snack...
