It occurred to me today that those of us brought up in schools that taught evolution as fact may well struggle with the higher power concept of AA more than others. I was mulling this over the other morning and thinking well am I being egotistical because I'm reserved about there being a higher power (God) and then thought - no it's because I was never told there was an option, just evolution taught as fact!
