You are absolutely right, that having the desire to stop drinking is really important. Don't ever stop trying. And, you are so lucky to have a wife who is supporting you. That is really wonderful.
One thing I've learned is that we are all on a journey. Some of us are in moving faster than other, but the point is to move forward.
