There has been so much anxiety and stuff in all our lifes lately.... could we please have a fun thread?
I was lookin at the best of S.R and under the' most embarrasing stories' there were some things that really made me laugh.Im only just re discovering laughing, its lovely!
Does anyone have a funny/embarassing anecdote to post? to make me laugh, i need to laugh.
Ive got a favorite to start of with. A very,very posh friend of mine(conected to minor royalty apparently) was going out with an american girl, marlene, who he met at uni. On hugh's 21 first birthday his family thew this enormous ball for him, black tie, the kind where every guest is announced as they arrive. Midway thru the ball Marlene decided she needed to pee. She went up to the butler,and asked where the 'rest room' was. In english english the phrase rest room is unknown, we just call it the toilet!
The butler directed her to a room with chairs, sinks and stuff but no toilets. Marlene was to embarased to ask again, so she decided to pee in the sink!
Unfortunately, Marlene was no light weight and as she was perched on the sink peeing it came off the wall,and both it and marlene fell to the floor.Poor Marlene got knocked unconcious! She was found with her knickers round her ankles amid the remains of the sink.
Fortunately Marlene recovered, and was invited back (after awhile!) to hugh's country house for the weekend . On arrival she plonked herself down on a comfy looking white cushion. It was the families Bichon frise (a small dog!) She killed it.
It was the end on their relationship.
I nearly died laughing when i heard the story,but we brits have a terrible black humor! maybe you wont think its funny!
