I didn't know I had that in me, either. It's something I was brooding over the past 24 hours.
The second line in the last stanza, in Latin, means "Look to the end, the cause is finished, my judgment." I could have written "praeteritus vitae diligite est" (The past is cherished) but it didn't rhyme. That's actually the title in medieval Latin.
