kermit, i think you miss the familiar. you were married and have kids and shared a life together, one that was probably filled with lots of happy times and many bad times that just can't outbalance the happy ones.
when relationships end, there's a lot to miss. you obviously loved him at one point, and probably still do, and probably always will. it's not an emotion you can just turn off with some paperwork and a change of address.
it's normal to miss being in love and missing the comfortableness of what you had with him. but you can do BETTER and you will!
