Hi Mamabear,
Well, so far, so good. He´s stopping the grass but drinking on weekends. It doesn´t need to be too bad news. I´m glad he got rid of the grass, it made me even more out of touch with reality than booze.
I stopped in a similar way. First I gave up Coke, then the psychadelics, then the heroin mix, then grass and lastly the booze. (Your son didn´t have all these, thank God) I also drank on weekends in University, but I did get my grades and then I stopped drinking and never looked back. I found booze made me stupid, and I didn´t want to be stupid. Finally the respect for my education and desire to practice what I had learned helped me to make the big decision to stop drinking and when I have the urge, I think of that and that usually helps nowadays. This is a long process.
But I have a good feeling about your son.
Thanks for your interest in my books. My autobiography has not been published yet, I keep writing it and then I put it aside to publish my other work. I don´t think I will publish it until both my parents are gone, but when it´s out, I´ll send you a copy! Hope you read French.
Hugs,
