I still have some funky nights where I can't sleep, then a stretch of days where it's all I can do to get through the day and come home to nap. It's much, much better than it was, but honestly? I have no idea what my normal sleep rhythm should be. I used for so long that I don't have anything to use as a guide.

Some suggestions that were made to me: go to bed at the same time every night, regardless if you can fall asleep or not and get up at the same time every day, whether you need to or not. Have a "go to sleep" routine of some sort (hot bath, caffeine-free tea, music, read a book, etc.). A woman once told me "no one ever died from lack of sleep." I wasn't so sure she was right at the time, but so long as I'm not doing something half asleep that puts me or anyone else in danger, I have to agree with her.

Most of all...patience. My head fog didn't really clear until I had six months clean & sober. Things do improve, but they take time.

Peace & Love,
Sugah
