I can relate. I had a small pea sized cyst in my left breast. Sent to surgeon for opinion, surgeon wants to remove. Tells story of how previous patient had similar, ended up being BIG cancer. O.K., now scared witless.
Day of surgery, no cyst - where did it go? Surgeon still wants to do surgery. I don't want to, also I don't want general, only local over site of cyst. Surgeon implies that I shouldn't want to ruin my breast with scar. I say I'd rather take my chances than going under general which has alot more risks.
Decided not to do surgery. Cyst comes back later, needle biopsy shows it is a fatty cyst, nothing more.
Lesson: DON"T WORRY UNTIL THERE'S SOMETIHNG TO WORRY ABOUT.
