Thanks history teach...
I've often asked and wondered, WHEN WILL I GET BETTER..
I am so impatient for the miracle to happen!
My desire to be normal, or better, or well only leads to perpetual frustration and it's like a cycle - wanting to be better or good enough, never being good enough or better, then getting more depressed about it, and so on...
Anyway, I appreciate the information because it looks like i'll be on meds for a long time. I'm one of those chronic depression sufferers. Started in my teens or even perhaps during the first few years of life from infant neglect....got worse in the teens from the onset of alcoholism in a parent.
I am amazed at our ability to repress emotions for years and years...I started getting depressed after college, when the "party" was over and my "adult" life and responsibilities kicked in.
I'm still struggling to be an adult, to hold down a steady job, to sleep well, to be physically healthy and not sick all of the time. Ugh.
Enough sharing from me. Goodnite.
