MIKIGLEN,
Who you calling an AGGIE!
No way, I am not gung-ho enough for that bunch of fanatics.
I graduated from SFASU in Nacogdoches, or as we called it: Naca-No-where! (Also a top-notch university.)
Although A&M is a GREAT school with great educational programs. It's just that it seems to me, that when folks come out of there, they are in some kind of "AGGIE CULT" for life!!!!
Me, I am not much of a "joiner." I joined the Boy Scouts and I joined the Air Force because I wanted a photography job and the steel mill at my hometown was going bust in the early 80s. (No jobs.)
But I waited until I was 24 before I joined the military.
When I was 18, and Vietnam was just ending, I would have bet you all the rice in NAM that I would never join any U.S. Military after how stupid that war and our no-win policy was.....
Did you know that in NAM, we would fly over an area and drop out leaflets telling the local populations to leave because tomorrow at noon we were going to BOMB this place!
What's up with that?
I am all for saving civilian lives, but if you get in a WAR, get in it to WIN, or STAY HOME!
But, they changed and so did I.
And I loved my time in the Service, stationed at Ft. Walton Beach, Florida...7 miles from Destin and 33 miles from Pensacola, right on the whitest sandy beaches you have ever seen.
They are so WHITE, that without proper eye protection, they will BLIND you. I learned a lot about sunglasses during my stay there.
As far as the math calculations of your age, I thought I remembered you said you partied for 17 years, hence the extra years I gave to you.
Heck, I'll give you some of mine, I have plenty to spare, ha.
Hope you beat that cold soon,
