Cowardice asks the question--is it the safe thing to do?
Pride asks the question--is it the popular thing to do?
Power asks the question--is it the political expedient thing to do?
But conscience asks the question--is it the right thing to do?
There comes a time when one must take a stand that is neither safe or popular or political expedient but because it is right. God will give us the courage we need to do what is right if we will only turn away from our fears. God's ultimate question is "what are you doing for the good of others?"
