Cool Pain!!!!UGH!!!! Grrrrrrrr

I live in chronic pain, and I used to take ibuprofen.......I shoulda bought stock in the company producing it..but my doctor wanted me to try to find something else cause ibuprofen is really, REALLY bad for your liver.....grrrrr

I have ....... nothing right with my back...lol I have arthritis all over my lower back through both hips; a couple of disintegrating discs; a dysfuctional sacroiliac (of course! my whole life used to be dysfuctional.....now just this....lol); pinched nerves.........all kinds of fun.....

Even though I have scripts for flexeril, zanaflex, vicodin, and fentanyl....and I may have to up some of my meds, as the pain seems to be gaining on me, but mostly....to just function around my house----no heavy stuff, like folding laundry on the bed (that would put me in a bad physical position, and after about 5 minutes the pain is so unbearable, I can't function at all ----the laundry gets folded while sitting on the floor in the livingroom....lol.....

Back to the point.....I've found that a couple of Aleves (or generic substitute) will get me out of bed at least....and through most of the day.....I also usually take a flexeril and a zanaflex (but for your husband, he could probably go with just the Aleve)..... I try not to use the vicodins or the fentanyl.....but I also realize that most meds have valid uses.....I just have to take them as prescribed.....as needed.....and that is possible..... (o:

......BUT as others have said.........a good physical and a talk with a doctor is always a good idea.....giving the doctor all the pertinent info( ie: in recovery) can work wonders; most 'good' doctors don't want to prescribe lots of possibly addictive medications.......even thought at times they may be necessary....... )o:

Hope this helped..... (o: see a doctor; find what works, and don't put yourself on a slippery slope by worrying about something that won't necessarily happen, unless one believes, and talks themselve into the situation (ie: thinking something like "if I do "x" I'll probably go back to using," and whadaya know.....you do "x" and go back to using ---- a self-fulfilling prophesy). keep positive....
